AVACURA® is the first fully automated thermoregulation system that delivers targeted cold and heat stimuli through the palms of the hands, one of the body’s most biologically sensitive areas. The result: a measurable increase in heart rate variability, activated cellular processes, greater mental clarity, and deep relaxation—without physical exertion, without changing clothes, and without the need for staff assistance. Made in Europe. Designed for professionals in the health, wellness, and performance sectors.
Users simply place their hands in the contact chambers. No need to change clothes. No staff required. The guided software takes care of the rest.
Precisely controlled cold and heat stimuli ranging from 6 °C to 43 °C act directly on the autonomic nervous system via the capillaries in the palms of the hands.
The treatment increases HRV, activates cellular processes, and improves mental focus and physical recovery—effects that are noticeable from the very first session and measurable via the built-in real-time biofeedback.
This is the key difference between AVACURA® and every other cooling or heating application on the market.
Without negative pressure
When exposed to cold or heat, the body reacts reflexively with vasoconstriction—the blood vessels constrict to minimize heat loss or prevent overheating. This protective reflex makes sense from an evolutionary perspective, but it is a therapeutic hindrance: the thermal stimulus only reaches the circulatory system superficially. The full physiological effect is lost.
AVACURA®
AVACURA® generates a precisely defined negative pressure in the contact chambers. This specifically keeps the thermal windows of the palms—known as arteriovenous anastomoses (AVA)—open. Instead of closing, the vessels remain receptive. The temperature stimulus thus reaches the systemic circulation directly and deeply.
The method is based on thermoregulation research conducted by the U.S. Army in the 1990s and was further developed at Stanford University. The key finding: The palms of the hands are the body’s thermal window—and the additional use of negative pressure amplifies the physiological effect many times over.
TRP channels act as molecular thermometers in the skin: TRPM8 is activated at approximately 15 °C → stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promotes vagus nerve activity, sleep, and regeneration. TRPV1 is activated at approximately 40 °C → targeted activation of the sympathetic nervous system, mental focus, alertness, and circulation.
AVACURA® transforms this clinical evidence into fully automated in-practice technology—with AI-powered HRV biofeedback that adapts each session to the user’s individual stress level.

Place your hands on the contact surfaces—the software automatically controls the temperature and vacuum. You won’t feel cold, and you won’t sweat. You’ll feel your body’s systems readjusting.
Without negative pressure, the body reflexively constricts blood vessels when exposed to cold or heat. The thermal stimulus remains superficial. The targeted vacuum keeps the thermal windows of the palms open—allowing the stimulus to reach the systemic circulation, not just the skin.
No. AVACURA® is a particularly gentle, non-invasive method—completely drug-free and with no known side effects. The software precisely controls each stimulus.
For athletic applications, 2-minute sessions are ideal. For pain management or recovery programs, cycles of 5×2 minutes are recommended, ideally in consultation with a healthcare professional.
No. The stimuli are applied locally to the palms of the hands—but the effect is systemic. Through the central thermoregulatory system and the open vascular network, the impulses reach the entire body.
No. AVACURA® regulates heat exchange so precisely that you won’t feel cold or uncomfortable—no sweating, no chills.
Based on research conducted by the U.S. Army (in the 1990s) and further developments at Stanford University, it was discovered that the palms of the hands are the body’s thermal window—and that negative pressure amplifies this physiological effect.
Yes. AVACURA® is one of the most accessible applications on the market—suitable for children, older adults, and people with limited mobility. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, we recommend consulting a doctor.
That is exactly the point: When exposed to direct heat, the body reacts with vasoconstriction—the blood vessels constrict. AVACURA® uses negative pressure to keep the thermal windows open in a targeted manner. Only then does the stimulus reach the systemic circulation.
To date, no serious side effects have been documented. Temporary redness or mild swelling may occur during the first few applications and are considered harmless.
